The Power of Continuous Improvement with Keith Champion
Today’s guest is Keith Champion, a 27-year automotive veteran that has worked for Tesla, Toyota, and now Lucid Motors. This episode is chalked full of valuable insights and stories from Keith’s career.
We discuss the principles of lean manufacturing, the brainchild of Toyota that has since become industry standard. Keith describes how he took to heart the core value of Kaizen, which means continuous improvement, when early in his career when he helped to make a process improvement when he was on front lines of the manufacturing floor.
He tells the story of his first day at Tesla before the factory even existed and how that experience stayed with him and helped to develop what he calls the blank page approach to problem-solving.
